Inside rehearsals for Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? – Coming this March

Centre Stage Company is bringing the iconic play, Who’s Afraid Of Virginia Woolf? to Haverhill Arts Centre. The dark comedy will be an innovatory theatre-in-the-round production, directed by David Hart.

The play features middle-aged husband and wife George and Martha in a searing, booze-fuelled night of dangerous fun and games with young couple Nick and Honey. By the evening’s end, a stunning, almost unbearable revelation provides a climax that has shocked audiences for years.

This 1962 play by Edward Albee took Broadway by storm and was adapted four years later as a multi-award-winning film starring Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. The play has been revived many times since, including a 2017 National Theatre version with Imelda Staunton.
