Three comedians programmed by Off The Kerb take to the stage at our Joke Jam Comedy Night!

Philipp Kostelecky

Starting comedy in 2018 in London, Philipp Kostelecky’s originality, international appeal, and first-class physicality have shot him up the comedy ladder, reaching the final of the 2022 Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year competition and winning Best New Comedian at the 2021 Southend Comedy Festival.

At 26, Philipp is a regular on the UK and European club comedy scene armed with “pitch-perfect accents and impressions” (The Founder) and brilliant gags. Philipp can win over any crowd using his boyish charm, captivating stage presence, and undeniable comedic talent. Philipp’s writing has been featured on the BBC and he has also supported Russell Kane on tour.

Fred Cooke

Fred Cooke delivers a unique brand of comedy through his musical prowess and wildly crafted physical story-telling. A well-known face on the Irish comedic circuit, Fred has supported comedy heavy-hitters such as Tommy Tiernan, Ardal O’Hanlon, Dermot and Dave and Seann Walsh. He is a regular at the UK and Ireland’s top comedy clubs (The Stand, The Comedy Store, The Empire, The Laughter Lounge – Dublin) and a familiar face on both the Irish and UK festival scene, having sold out previous Edinburgh runs.

An unmissable act, Fred brings a special brand of comedic chaos to every show, and is hugely entertaining. A night with Fred is a night not to forget.

Peter Rethinasamy

Born and raised in Belfast to a Malaysian father and Irish mother, Peter is a comedian with hard hitting, punchy jokes, and hilarious tales of growing up in Northern Ireland.

Since he started performing stand-up, he has reached the semi-finals of the Laughing Horse New Act of the Year competition and won the London Comedy Store’s King Gong competition. Peter is cementing himself as a must-see act on the circuit. Recently Peter has been supporting Judi Love, Seann Walsh, Kerry Godliman, Russell Kane, and Tom Allen on tour around the UK.

Combining his love of comedy writing and acting (he was a member of the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain), Peter has been on Comedy Central Live! He stars in The Heist Before Christmas, a movie made for Sky alongside James Nesbitt and Timothy Spall, and directed by Edward Hall. Other recent credits include Ted Lasso (Apple TV) and short film Us & In Between.
