Mutiny in Colour Workshops: Meet the Artists
Alongside The Urban Frame - Mutiny in Colour we're running a packed series of free drop-in workshops to help you unleash your inner artists. Suitable for all the family, you can enjoy sessions on everything from tiny art to stencils. It's time to meet the brilliant artists who will be running the sessions.
Susan Abbs
Susan Abbs was born in Singapore and has called Cambridge her home for the last ten years. Inspired by the sun and heat of the tropics, her paintings capture light and space, often featuring the expanse of sky Cambridge has to offer in skyscapes painted on media such as copper and aluminium. She teaches out of her Cambridge Studio as well as Life Drawing at Hills Road College.

Be inspired by Universal Minds by Cyclops to create your own work using photo collage, drawing and painting.
Joel Millerchip
Joel is a Birmingham-born artist, illustrator and tattooist-in-the-making whose distinctive illustrative style creates bold, impactful designs perfect for prints, screens, walls and even bodies. He is a lecturer in Art Practice at West Suffolk College and has designed creative programmes and workshops on mark making for a wide range of organisations, including The Houses of Parliament, The National Trust and Mini Cooper.

Create tiny artworks, using a range of materials to be displayed in a tiny art gallery.
Wednesday 1 August, Chalkstone Fun Day, 11.00am-3.00pm
Design and create simple paper toys based on street art characters. add features a colour and take home your very own free-standing paper toy
Saturday 12 August, Haverhill Arts Centre, 11.00am-3.00pm
Create three interlinking lino sheets to create a head, a skull and a brain using a printing press and basic lino-cutting tools
Saturday 19 August, Haverhill in the Park, the Recreation Ground 12.00pm – 4.00pm
Create a tag name to develop into a series of typography-based art works to take home.
Glenn Pickering
Glenn is a Suffolk-based illustrator and graphic designer. He is course director for the BA (Hons) Art Practice at West Suffolk College School of Art and Design.

Friday 28 July, Clements Fun Day, 11.00am-3.00pm
Design a terrible creature – illustrate a monstrous creature from the depths of your mind. The best monster of the day will be transformed into a finished illustration for the winner.
Sally Walker
Sally Walker is an award-winning Children’s book illustrator and graduate of the MA in Children’s Book Illustration course at Cambridge School of Art. Her books include I Already Love You, Until the Blueberries grow and Chase the Moon, Tiny Turtle.
