Meet Si Cranstoun: Performing at HAC this November

Ahead of his upcoming performance at HAC on Thursday 21 November, we caught up with Si Cranstoun about what people can expect from his show, his favourite musician and his love of music.

How did you first get into music?

In the beginning I was a huge fan, buying vintage records, tapes, CDs and videos. It was as a direct result of that deep dive into 50’s/ 60’s culture that inspired me to song-write and become a singer in my local school band.

What is your earliest memory of music?

It was performing singing at assembly in school & I think I remember it because I was scared out of my wits LOL!

Who is your biggest musical inspiration?

I think Sam Cooke as he wrote such beautiful songs and had such a soulful voice.

Have you played at Haverhill Arts Centre before?

Yes, I had the pleasure of playing Haverhill last year and it was a great night to remember!

How would you describe your music?

A subtle blend of classic soul and rock ‘n roll vibes entwined in with a helping of ska.

If you were stranded on a desert island and you could only listen to one artist, who would it be?

Bob Marley.

What can we expect at your next show at Haverhill Arts Centre?

Back flips, moon walks, twistin’, stomping, a great band and a foot stomping, hand clapping night of live music to raise your spirits!

Si will next be performing on Thursday 21 November at 7:30pm. Click HERE to book your tickets.
