Haverhill Beer Weekend: The full list of beers & ciders
From strong bitters to sweet ciders, there’s plenty to taste and enjoy at the 2024 Haverhill Beer Weekend. Ahead of this year’s highly anticipated event, here is the full list* of every beer and cider available to try:
Regional Beers
SUFFOLK
Nethergate – Venture – Amber Ale (3.7%)
Venture is a light, fruity amber ale with citrus hints and a mellow finish.
Nethergate – Old Growler – Dark/Porter (5%)
Old Growler includes hints of chocolate, coffee and roasted malt.
Nethergate – Green and Pleasant Land – Gold (4.1%)
An aromatic pale and golden beer with fresh floral notes and an aroma of lemons.
Nethergate – Copperhead – Bitter (4%)
A deep copper ale with an earthy, grassy and hoppy bitterness.
Nethergate – Craft Lager (Keg) – Lager (4.5%)
A refreshing, zesty and spicy flavour.
Roughacre – Saints Reserve – Strong Bitter (6.2%)
A spicy, full flavoured ale with a delicate dried fruit aroma.
Roughacre – Saffron Sun Cask Lager (5.4%)
A crisp, refreshing craft lager with floral and sweet honey notes.
Roughacre – Nighthawker Coffee Porter – Porter (4.6%)
Brewed with roasted barley, dark crystal and chocolate malts. The beer has a bitterness with a hint of red berries.
Roughacre – Clare Skies – IPA (4.8%)
A pale amber ale with a fruity aroma.
ESSEX
Pumphouse – Pumphouse Gold – Gold (4.2%)
A biscuit-like maltiness offset by the rounded citrus/lychee aromas and lingering bitter finish.
Pumphouse – St Margarets – Blonde (3.8%)
Light and refreshing.
Pumphouse – 19 Elms – Amber Ale (4.3%)
A dark amber ale.
Pumphouse – Allied Amber – Bitter (3.8%)
A smooth bitter, made with chocolate, pale and wheat malts and WGV hops. Amber in colour and with malty and biscuit flavours.
Bishop Nick – Amulet – Gold (3.8%)
A spicy copper ale – full-bodied with highlights of lemon and fruity blackcurrant.
Bishop Nick – Flaxen – Strong Bitter (5.1%)
A hoppy, fruity beer.
CAMBRIDGESHIRE
Moonshine – Heavenly Matter – Gold (4.1%)
Crisp, clean and light bodied beer that has citrus, tropical fruits flavours with generous bitterness.
Moonshine – Cellarman’s Stout – Stout/Porter (6.0%)
Sweet stout with rich malty flavours thanks to dark roasted malts blended with oats and wheat for a mellow, silky smooth and juicy rich stout.
Moonshine – Frank (Zappa) – Pale (4.2%)
A pale session ale with American Zappa hops
National Beers
Titanic – Plum Porter – Porter (4.9%) – Staffordshire
Well-rounded porter with sweet, fruity nose. Notes of plum and another stone fruits.
Thornbridge – Jaipur – IPA (5.9%) – Derbyshire
A taste of grapefruit, lemon and tropical fruit with an enticing bitterness.
Rudgate – Ruby Mild (4.4%) – Yorkshire
Nutty, deeply rich and satisfying ruby ale.
Timothy Taylor – Boltmaker (4.0%) – Yorkshire
A well-balanced bitter with a roasted, malty bitter finish with aromas of citrus and fruits.
Hopback – Summer Lightning (5.0%) – Wiltshire
A straw coloured beer with a hoppy aroma and a long, dry intense bitterness.
