The Haverhill Beer Weekend is back!

The Haverhill Beer Weekend is back! This April, Haverhill Arts Centre will once again host the much-loved three day event with an abundance of beers and ciders to suit all taste buds – In association with West Suffolk CAMRA volunteers & Nethergate Brewery.

This year’s event will run across three days in April:

Friday 19th April: 12pm – 11pm

Saturday 20th April: 12pm – 11pm

Sunday 21st April: 12pm – 4pm

The Beer Weekend is a fantastic opportunity to sample an exciting variety of ales, from strong and dark bitters to light and bubbly pale ales. This year’s event will feature an exciting variety of regional ales from local breweries, including:

  • Nethergate Venture
  • Pumphouse Gold
  • Roughacre Saints Reserve
  • Moonshine Heavenly Matter
  • Bishop Amulet
  • Titanic Plum Porter

It’s not just about the beer, there will also be live music, food and a fully stocked bar serving Pimms, Prosecco and gin – as well as free soft drinks for designated drivers.

For those not old enough to drink there will be a number of children’s games and activities to keep your little ones entertained, including board games, Jenga and various arts and craft activities.

Live Music

This year’s Beer Weekend will see plenty a variety of musical acts taking to the stage – the perfect accompaniment to your beer:

  • Get ready to shake, rattle and roll with The Suffolk Slappers, the ultimate rockabilly experience can be heard on the Friday.
  • Steve Spall So-Low will be entertaining the crowds with his full band sound on Saturday. Covering the music of Pink Floyd, Metallica, Muse and Prince, you can also enjoy funk, Motown, modern and reggae hits.
  • Enjoy rousing renditions of traditional sea shanties and drinking songs with The Hoy Shanty Crew – performing on the Sunday.

Food

Freshly made burgers and hotdogs will be available to purchase at the Haverhill Arts Centre bar throughout the weekend. If you fancy popping out to a local takeaway you are more than welcome to bring your food back to the Arts Centre to enjoy with your beer.

Tickets

Tickets are £14, which includes:

  • Entrance
  • X2 £5.00 beer cards
  • £1.00 glass deposit*

*Your glass deposit and any fully unused £5.00 cards can be refunded. Alternatively, please donate your deposits and unspent cards to our two charities, St Nicholas Hospice and Haverhill Community Trust. Refunds cannot be processed w/c 22 April.
