Haverhill Summer Book Swap

Join us this summer as we host two book swap events on Saturday 25 July and Saturday 15 August.

The book swaps, organised by Sameeksha Cambridge in association with Haverhill Arts Centre, will take place in Haverhill Arts Centre to coincide with the National Year of Reading.

Special appearances from members of The Haven Literary Club throughout the day.

There will also be art activities for families.

How can I get involved?

How can I get involved?

You get get involved in two ways:

Swap & Return

Bring a book you are happy to lend
Choose another book to take home
Return the borrowed book at the next event (or agreed date)
Books will be labelled with the owner’s name

Swap & Keep

Bring a book you no longer want
Exchange it for another book to keep
No need to return

Rules & Guidelines

Books should be in good, clean condition
No damaged or heavily marked books
Age-appropriate content only
Respect the swap limits

Marion Leeper – Storyteller

Marion Leeper grew up in a family of tale-tellers and word-weavers and she’s been telling stories ever since, with more tales than she can count rattling round her head. Well known in and around Cambridge and East Anglia, she tells stories in fields, libraries, festivals, schools, hospitals and all kinds of unexpected corners.

Expect stories about books, about the wonderful, strange and exciting characters that come from books, and stories – and books – that might become your best friends – when they leap out at you from the Haverhill Book swap.
